Of course, there are some very pretty villages in between including East and West Ayton, Ebberston, Thornton Dale, Hutton-le-Hole and Langdale End.

In the village of East Ayton, just a 10-minute drive away.

The nearest hospital is in Scarborough.

Q18. Can you take dogs on the beaches in Scarborough, Filey and Whitby?

Dog bans are usually in force from 1st May to 30th September each year on parts of Scarborough, Filey and Whitby beaches. There are some smaller beaches where you can take your dogs throughout the year including Cayton Bay. Please check the tides before you travel.

Q19. Where is the nearest supermarket?

There is a convenience store in East Ayton, next to the petrol station. There is a store in Seamer called Proudfoots. There is a large Morrisons in Eastfield and both a Sainsbury's and Tesco in Scarborough town centre. All the main supermarkets deliver to the cottages.

Q20. Can you get to Wellspring Farm by public transport?

No. If you need to travel by public transport, the nearest railway stations are Seamer and Scarborough. There is a bus route from Scarborough to Pickering, however the bus stop is some distance from our cottages. We would advise using your own transport if possible.
